Position Overview :

The Brick is looking for a Web Designer with 2-4 years of experience in constructing and publishing a range of online content.

You’ll be working with the largest furniture retailer in Canada as a part of a dynamic web team. The role involves implementing promotions, designing web elements and supporting the content team.

Experience with website and graphic design is essential, and experience with e-commerce is an asset.

We’re looking for somebody who’s adaptable to The Brick’s process yet ready to bring their own creative ideas to the table.

We rely on the insights of our team to come up with new, compelling promotions that attract customers. Our digital team is a creative minded group of people focused on being great online.

Responsibilities :

  • Developing clear and exciting graphics for regular promotions and major campaigns
  • Designing, building and publishing content throughout the website
  • Gathering required information from the digital team, buyers, vendors and management
  • Collaborating with the digital team and stakeholders to execute campaigns
  • Effective time management and attention to detail is critical
  • Job Requirements

    Education and Experience :

  • Post-secondary qualification in interactive, web, or graphic design
  • 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Bilingual (French / English) communication skills an asset but not required
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • In depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, HTML and CSS
  • Working knowledge of javascript, Jquery, HTML5 and mobile optimization
  • Excellent design skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to understand, interpret and act on feedback from a variety of stakeholders
