Reporting directly to the Supervisor Fixed Assets, The Fixed Assets Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support and administration of the Fixed Assets department and for providing support to the Fixed Assets team.
This role administers standard business processes relating to all fixed assets.
Maintain the asset database; update serial numbers, asset descriptions and category codes as required.
Manage all asset location transfers; including requests to move tanks, trucks, and rental equipment. Process related transfer journals.
Act as the main point of contact for questions regarding asset movements from the National Operations Centre / Service Administrators.
Manage the disposal of scrapped / sold fixed assets ensuring that requests are complete with approved AFD forms.
Create new fixed asset item numbers; ensure appropriate category codes are utilized. Investigate duplicate assets and follow up with service administrators as required.
Participate on special projects related to asset verification / counts and recording of additional asset information such as PSI ratings, CRN and National Board numbers when required.
Provide support to the Fixed Assets teams as required.
Post secondary education.
Minimum of one year experience in a related position, preferably an accounting role.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Strong customer service skills.
Organization skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
Attention to detail required ensuring accuracy on all related information.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in French / English, both written and verbal, is an asset.
