Are you our next Sr. Manager Training? This role provides a unique opportunity to lead the centralized training function for the North America Business (NAB).

The Sr. Manager Training will ensure the strategy is implemented in a way that executes on the long-term training vision while balancing the short-term interests of key stakeholders and internal customers.

In addition, the role will ensure that training deliverables are aligned to the overall HR and business strategy, meet the needs of the business, including regulatory requirements and prioritize based on strategic objectives.

This role will sit on Mosaic’s learning governance committee as a key representative for NAB. What will you do? Lead training development efforts by providing training leadership to maintain and sustain a learning environment that aligns with the overall BU strategic objectives.

Drive the prioritization, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs and initiatives. Develop and drive a comprehensive, integrated training and development service model that includes consistent, standardized processes and procedures for needs analysis, prioritization, development and delivery of training initiatives.

Responsible for the continued assessment of training program design options to identify risk and drive innovative solutions that will improve training and development methodologies and approaches across NAB.

Set standards and determine non-regulatory training requirements. Drive a consistent training approach across the business, implementing appropriate change management practices.

Ensure all training is performance-based to improve the alignment, effectiveness and efficiency of training for hourly and salaried workforce.

Develop and oversee the training budget for all centralized training, including direct and indirect training costs. Determine needs and business impact by partnering with key stakeholders and internal customers to identify training needs within the organization through needs assessments, job analysis, and consultation with business leaders, peers, operators, and SMEs.

Translate needs into concrete options for learning solutions, ensuring the impact is measurable and linked to business goals.

Design learning curriculum based upon developing and maximizing on-the-job learning via practical / situational exercises and direct application.

Validate qualification methods, determine skill certification requirements, manage training materials, maintain training records, and coordinate testing methods.

Manage vendor and stakeholder relationships. Select and partner with appropriate training vendors to deliver training services where required.

Drive accountability for all training vendors to deliver on outcomes. Partner with enterprise-wide relevant stakeholders such as Mosaic’s talent management and learning governance teams.

Manage, lead and develop training team and support in career development and growth. Our ideal candidate will have the following : Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Engineering or related 10 years in a learning / training environment 5+ years in an operations, industrial or heavy equipment environment Strategic thinker and a driver capable of making timely decisions and influencing key stakeholders to build effective learning processes across multiple sites Proven versatility and problem identification and resolution skills in interacting with all levels of the organization Proven ability to get results in a matrix environment Proven experience with instructional design Demonstrated leadership, management and organization abilities and experience managing complex projects and priorities Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information Change management experience Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills Demonstrated ability to build relationships with all employee levels, diverse groups of employees, and outside constituents Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail Role requires 15-20% travel across North America.
