The Opportunity :
Reporting to the Plant Manager the Maintenance Manager (I) is responsible for establishing site level polices and implementing the Maintenance department's long-term strategy to meet corporate and site objectives.
Implements and manages continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in staffing, training, working practices and processes.
The Maintenance Manager (I) promotes and maintains a safe working environment through compliance with MLF’s Health and Safety Program.
This includes Food Safety and Environmental compliance.
The Maintenance Manager (I) is a knowledgeable Maintenance leader with at least 5 years of experience in a Maintenance management role applying proven Maintenance best practices in a fast pace industrial environment.
A technical diploma is required, while an Engineering degree is preferred. The Manager (I) is familiar with using a CMMS / EAM system and with applying Standard Operating Procedures in his / her work.
The Manager (I) follows company policies, standards, and guidelines as they apply to all activities.
The Manager (I) has strong leadership and communication skills, works well in a team environment, is responsible and is open to change.
The person is results oriented and quality driven.
This position is an interim role for 18 months; however, may lead to permanent full time for the right candidate.
Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life :
Coach the Maintenance staff to achieve the desired results within the budget envelop.
Ensure communication between involved parties, monitor performance and the development and management of corrective action plans.
Audit results and coach as needed.

Having a continuous improvement mindset, technical skills to drive reliability, the ability to solve problems analytically, and a strong desire to lead by example will allow you to make an impact.
We’re committed to disciplined decision making and embarking on a digital future; data and technology savviness plays a significant part in this role, which requires comfort with SAP, Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Power BI, Teams, and other digital collaboration tools.
