    Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist is responsible for a wide range of tasks including : Employee Relations, Training & Development, Full Cycle Recruitment, WSIB Claims Management, Performance Management, Compensation, and Benefits.

    Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with other HR team members and contribute to the continued improvement of HR programs, processes, and planning within the company
  • Be up-to-date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help leaders ensure compliance and update / draft company policies accordingly
  • Implement reward and recognition interventions to increase bottom-line results and employee engagement
  • Work together with management and personnel to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted turnover
  • Participate in promoting and enforcing health and safety initiatives and legislation
  • WSIB claims management and attend JHSC meetings and be involved with health and safety audits
  • Process all new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and existing employee changes related to payroll.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees
  • Conduct workplace investigations
  • Implement and support HR programs. Programs include performance management, talent management, employee development, diversity, inclusion, employee wellness, etc.
  • Responsible for the quality and responsiveness of the overall delivery of all HR services
  • Use creative problem-solving skills to address business needs that are often time-sensitive
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 5 years’ experience as Human Resources Generalist
  • Knowledge and practical experience with employment legislation e.g. Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety, and WSIB
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, communication, and conflict resolution skills to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • College or university degree in business, human resources, or related field.
  • CHRP designation is an asset
