We are looking for an experienced National Director of Business Development in our Projects / Oil & Gas / Marine department.

Your role is to identify target sectors and accounts with a focus towards Oil & Energy, Resource, Power & EPC companies involved in turnkey Capital Projects.
To be the lead sales position for the development of strategic customers in the Project vertical. This position acts as the lead of the business development process from the business plan to execution, relationship building, maintenance, process improvements to tracking of results and activities relating in high customer satisfaction and achievement of targets and objectives.
Business Delivery :
Act as the strategic point of contact for development of KN’s Solution aligning with KN Project Managers, BU Managers, and KN Sales resources
Develop, monitor and execute the business plan for Strategic Customer(s); maintain alignment with all stakeholders
Drive the business development solutions for Strategic Customer(s)
Maintain communication channels with Strategic Customer(s) and KN operations to deliver consistent understanding of customer expectations relative to operational solutions, timelines, costs and results
Direct operational issues to the KN operational owner to ensure performance goals achieved or appropriate corrective actions taken
Bid owner for RFI / P within the mining sector
Customer Delivery :
Understand the organizational layers and decision-making process of Strategic Customer(s) and drive the governance structure to operate effectively
Conduct regular and structured business reviews with Strategic Customer(s), introducing processes for innovation and continuous improvement
Build and strengthen strategic relationships within the Strategic Customer(s) Organization in order to understand and maximize opportunities
Leverage best practice solutions and process improvements from across the global business to continually deliver value to customer’s dynamic supply chain
Account Resourcing & Reporting :
Determine global and local KN resources required for business development and to deliver on Strategic Customer(s) requirements together with KN corporate & geographic management
Deliver account development reports to KN management as required
Provide visibility and updates of sales activities in CoreLog and KN Projects
Knowledge Management and Learning :
Ensure knowledge of industry best practice to recommend strategic direction and benefits for both KN and Strategic Customer(s) operations
Continuously update own knowledge and skills by proactively seeking market / industry information
Your Skills and Experiences
10+ years working in project logistics environment
Diploma level in Business or Trade and Transport related courses.
Fully conversant with multi-modal transportation in a project environment
Project-planning, creating project procedures, KPI's and implementation experience a requirement
Turnkey Owner / EPC Project planning and execution experience a requirement
Great Customer Service, Time Management, Organizational skills a must
Public Speaking, Negotiation, and Problem solving skills are required
Familiarity with construction and equipment procurement and understanding the regulatory environment
International and Domestic freight forwarding operations, including over-dimensional / break-bulk movements by sea, road and rail
Project Management, Business Strategy & Business Process Improvement
Must have experience with Microsoft Office & Contract Management
