Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Consultant is accountable for sourcing, attracting, and selecting high caliber talent for Apotex, primarily for jr.
to intermediate level roles.
Job Responsibilities
Act as a recruitment subject matter expert to Apotex managers and supervisors and a brand ambassador for Apotex.
Partner with hiring leaders to support the end-to-end recruitment process. This includes developing an understanding of their business area, roles within their business, and their short and longer term hiring requirements.
Develop and execute sourcing plans, build candidate pipeline, and meet recruitment milestones to ensure positions are filled as quickly as possible with qualified candidates.
Recommend and manage relationships with approved search vendors where applicable.
Interview independently, or with hiring managers, utilizing established interview guides and applying behavioural based interviewing techniques.
Extend and negotiate verbal and written job offers, often complex in nature, including preparing offer as per established process and ensuring that all reference checks and other requirements are completed.
Conduct all post offer activities including providing timely follow up and feedback where required to both internal and external candidates;
and complete all required administrative activities including communication as required to Canada Compensation and Payroll etc
Support the Associate, Director, Talent Acquisition in developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies and programs.
Support continuous improvement activities and make recommendations for change where appropriate.
Job Requirements
Post-secondary degree / diploma in Human Resources or a related discipline; CHRP designation or working towards completion preferred.
3-5 years’ work experience as a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition, including behavioural interviewing techniques.
Experience recruiting for QA and QC roles would be an asset.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent relationship management skills and ability to influence key stakeholders.
Ability to work autonomously and effectively as a member of a team to achieve expected outcomes.
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with an Applicant Tracking System and HRIS.
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Results oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to respectfully and tactfully interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
