11 : 10 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m. Course Start Date : January 7, 2019 Course End Date : April 26, 2019 Reporting to the Dean of Science, the Sessional Lecturer provides instruction to undergraduate students in CSCI 2050U.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities : In keeping with a technology-enhanced learning environment utilizing laptop computers and wireless connectivity, the Sessional Lecturer will deliver the course using a technology-
enhanced learning approach. She / he will prepare, deliver and grade all course material and assignments and be available for consultation with students during and following completion of the course session.
This position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and PSAC.

Qualifications : Preferred candidates will have a demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduates and a minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field.
Preference will be given to those with a Ph. D. degree, and / or specialist qualifications in the related area.

Master’s or PhD in Computer Science and / or specialist qualifications in the related area. Proven record of teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Science Familiarity with online course management systems Priority will be given to an Internal Applicant who has taught any course for the University in three (3) different sessions in the past thirty-
six (36) months, provided they meet the requirements for the position as outlined in the job posting.
