Summary of Position :

Scrum Master will be required to work within the Software Development team which will provide demand from Product Management, Project Management and Software Engineering.

This role will work with multiple development partners to build software products and development lifecycle processes.

The candidate will be a member of a small to medium-sized team and will often perform in a leadership role. He or she will also collaborate with other teams and occasionally give direction to other helper teams.

Essential Competencies :

Functional

  • Work across technical teams to develop software products
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Organize and execute software team training, mentoring, SAFe and Agile Sprint Ceremonies.
  • Work with JIRA / Confluence
  • Basic Project Management : Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools and techniques to develop / plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion (e.
  • g., on time, within budget).

    Leadership

  • Lead SDLC Methodology
  • Lead Agile teams on SAFe methodologies with knowledge of software SDLC process
  • Implement processes, practices, and tools allow for multiple paths of delivery. I.e., create simplified, consistent, reusable, efficient and flexible methodologies
  • Recommend improvements and drive alignment across Engineering
  • Serve as a Coach and Mentor within the organization
  • Lead and influence others including those more senior on best practices
  • Inspire others to adopt the new processes and improvements based on program retrospectives
  • Business

  • Adheres to policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct, ethics, and conflicts of interest and completes annual training in same.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand his team needs.
  • Ability to take and understand her / his commitment to deliver the product on time.
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc..
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent with concentration in software;
  • or equivalent knowledge in the areas of software engineering (software requirements analysis, software design, software testing, software automation).

  • Legal Authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Agile as a scrum master driving software development role.
  • In depth knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in the development of software solutions.
  • Experience with common software programming languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control equipment is highly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
