As Commissioning and Warranty Technician you will be part of the Product Introduction team and work on Commissioning and Warranty phases.

You will provide Commissioning leadership and support to projects by developing test procedures, test cases, methods and equipment.

Also, you will assure the thoroughness of the above, based of requirements and in coordination with engineering, sister divisions and suppliers.

You will apply electrical and mechanical theory and knowledge to testing activities and equipment. You will also provide technical expertise to subcontractors, project team members and less experienced personnel.

And you will apply technical judgment to earliest possible detection of defects, troubleshooting and resolution in full coordination with engineering.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Provide field support for installation, static and dynamic tests, operation, maintenance and warranty of equipment;
  • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, upgrade and modification on equipment;
  • Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure in operation of equipment. Recommend preventative and corrective maintenance;
  • Develop alternate solutions, perform failure analysis on parts. Document and prepare reports for materials, equipment components and processes;
  • Ensure and respect HSE rules; perform risk analysis on systems and operational procedures. Audit activities and participate in site HSE improvement;
  • Plans, schedule, direct and record testing, ensure readiness of testing setup and equipment, prepare report and Key Performance Indicators;
  • Support robustness testing;
  • Perform trending analysis for improved reliability and preventive action; Oversee the Warranty Process throughout the entire contract including the resolution of open item through fleet modifications;
  • Trouble-shooting issues while Testing and Commissioning trains;
  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements.
  • Key requirements :

  • College or a university degree or equivalent experience as Electrical engineer technician, red seal electrician or red seal heavy mechanic;
  • Three (3) to ten (10) years of relevant experience;
  • Field experience in electrical / mechanical domains;
  • Experience in control systems and electronics troubleshooting;
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
