Here's an overview of your tasks :
Analyze the plant's needs and conduct mechanical design projects for automated systems
Participate in the equipment development process
Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial control design
Select components in the design process
Train and support resources in the use and maintenance of equipment
Ensure compliance with project schedules and budgets
Provide technical support to the maintenance, production and engineering departments
Monitor and identify opportunities for cost savings, equipment improvements and automation
Manage new equipment and tooling projects with the technical team while controlling schedules and budgets
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Mechanical engineer with experience in the field or mechanical engineering technician with extensive experience in custom equipment design
Expertise in automation
Good knowledge of electrical controls (sensors and actuators)
Knowledge of solidedge
Autonomy, resourcefulness and ability to adapt
Ability to innovate and great creativity
Ability to work in a team under tight deadlines
