You should be comfortable taking charge of a project, extracting, analyzing, and validating the business requirements for our interactive planning projects.
This includes documentation reviews, stakeholder interviews, group facilitation, and other requirements gathering exercises in order to articulate process flows and business requirements.
With this information, you will convert requirements into software development specifications for internal and external development teams using a variety of software modeling documentation techniques.
Our Senior Business Analysts are expected to combine an understanding of digital transformation, software development lifecycles, technology platforms, and user interface design principles to help facilitate and support application development & delivery, to help ensure that project deliverables meet documented specifications.
Assessing and identifying clients' business needs
Working with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize collected requirements
Documenting requirements critical to achieving business objectives
Identifying and establishing project scope based on requirements analysis in order to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions
Acting as a customer representative to internal development teams to ensure solution satisfies client needs
Being a client contact throughout the project and being a knowledgeable and professional representative of Aequilibrium
Assemble, analyze, and generate high-quality functional specifications for technical teams to work from
Presenting business recommendations and technical functional specifications to clients in an easy to comprehend manner
Performing various project-related tasks on an as-needed basis.
Documenting and managing internal and client meetings on an as-needed basis.
Optimizing and improving requirements gathering and documentation processes in strategy group based on best practices.
Diffuse problems and put forward solutions that are in the best interest of the company and employees
Participate in ongoing special projects in support of Aequilibrium’ environment and strategic plans
Skills and Experience
5+ years working in a professional services environment or within an industry vertical in a business systems planning role.
3+ years experience in defining software functional specifications.
Experience working with clients in the financial services or banking sector.
Experienced in using UML-based techniques for specifying requirements like use-cases, data-flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, state-transition diagrams, class diagrams, decision tables, sequence diagrams.
Proficiency in various software requirements methodologies
Experienced in organizing & presenting complex information in simple visual models.
Proven client management experience, specifically in facilitating client interviews, stakeholder workshops, and team meetings.
Technical experience in web or software development, with a demonstrated understanding of web-related technical terms.
Experience with requirements management software preferred.
Functional or project management experience preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
Independent worker is able to move projects forward with little guidance.
Strong writing and communication skills, ability to articulate complex technical requirements in a simple to understand, conversational manner.
Knowledge and experience in identifying data / information requirements.
Understanding of web technology platforms and their capabilities / limitations.
Comfortable in a customer / business-facing role.
Interviewing & facilitation skills, such as conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Scrum Master Certiifed

PMP or Prince 2 certifications.
Experience working with BackBase or Forge
A university degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
