Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
This is a grant funded assignment with a projected end date of 06 / 30 / 2022 with renewal based on available funds and the needs of MCCCD.

Provides academic and career advisement, as well as student recruitment and retention services, to new, continuing and prospective students in person, by phone, via email, or online chat.
90% - Provides academic and career advisement for new, continuing, and prospective students. Conducts proactive outreach to assigned students.
Academic advisement includes providing information on program and degree requirements, including university transfer information.
Also provides information on MCCCD policies and procedures and reviews prior college credits. Updates student records as needed.
10% - Participates in special projects such as education and career fairs. Participates in departmental meetings and training sessions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, education or directly related field, and one year of experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
A. Bachelor’s degree
B. Recent academic advisement experience in a college or university setting
C. Recent case management experience in a student service capacity
D. Strong oral and written communication skills (Note : application materials will be evaluated on this area.)
