The Montreal office is currently seeking a paralegal to complement its team.
Our business immigration team is one of the largest in Canada. With clients in every sector of the industry, we assist both multinational corporations and small and medium-sized businesses.
Our team deals with legal issues related to work permit, permanent residence and citizenship, and develops global mobility strategies for our clients.
BCF also provides a full range of professional development tools for lawyers wishing to improve their skills and become accomplished professionals.
Prepare, draft and submit various immigration documents (queries, forms, lists of documents) for work permits, visas, permanent residence, citizenship or other international mobility applications;
Assist in the management of all processes associated with obtaining and renewing immigration documents;
Follow up on processing with appropriate departments and agencies (IRCC, MIFI, EDSC, CBSA, consulates, etc.);
Prepare any other type of file, such as sponsorship applications, study permits, visitor visas, citizenship;
Prepare arrival instructions to Canada and forward documents to clients;
Conduct research on various legal or procedural and administrative issues and requirements of various departments and agencies;
Communicate with clients directly to prepare or complete files and follow up as required; and
Keep legal and procedural knowledge up to date.
DCS in paralegal technology;
Three to five years’ experience as an immigration paralegal;
Bilingualism both orally and in writing (French / English);
Ability to write in both languages;
Ability to analyze and organize documents thoroughly and carefully;
Excellent customer service;
Good judgment and self-reliance; and
Strong ability to handle several files at once.
