We are seeking a Physiotherapist to join our Abbotsford team!
Working in the WSBC programs and Private Practice, the Physiotherapist will :
Private Practice :
Varied caseload that includes sports injuries, recreational injuries, work and MVA injuries
Increases in compensation over time, in thanks for staying a dedicated member of our team
Monthly evidence-based research bulletins, Quarterly clinical workshops and ongoing mentorship as desired
Fully equipped rehab gym and private treatment rooms with hi-lo tables and charting room with online exercise prescription software
All clinics equipped with mechanical traction, ultrasound, IMS, and shockwave therapy modalities.
WSBC Programs :
The clinical duties in the Worksafe BC Occupational Rehab 1&2 & LTD Custom Active Rehab programs include evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services.
The Physical Therapist will work in a multi-disciplinary team which includes Occupational Therapists, Physicians, Kinesiologists, Psychologists / Clinical Counsellors and Case Managers.
Clinical assessments, developing and providing treatment plans for clients
Providing ongoing evaluation of client progress
Administering and gathering information regarding outcomes
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
Communicating to appropriate referral sources and stakeholders
Engaging in continuous learning and skills development
Participate in and adhere to CARF related requirements
Work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting which includes Occupational Therapists, Physicians, Kinesiologists, Psychologists / Clinical Counselors and Case Managers
Other work as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
Registered Physical Therapist with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment is ideal
Ideally at least 2-3 years of experience in evidence-based assessment and rehabilitation services for injured workers with musculoskeletal injuries
Excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize with a focus on customer service;
and an interest in vocational rehabilitation.
