Job Summary

In this position, the Business Compliance Specialist, (BCS) will provide key support to the McKesson Specialty Health team including Patient Services, INVIVA and Specialty Pharmacy.

They will focus on the development and maintenance of operational initiatives / projects which will include : supporting consolidation of services and processes and sharing of best practices between the different locations and business units.

Section A Specific Responsibilities

  • Partner with departments such as Quality, Privacy, Business Continuity and various other business units to identify the requirements for audit readiness
  • Identify the designated business units’ quality audit compliance and privacy risks, detecting shortcomings and bringing to the attention of the Business Unit Leaders
  • Assist in the maintenance of the designated business units’ privacy and quality procedures and practices in coordination with the Privacy and Compliance Team, quality departments, IT security and the legal department.
  • Facilitate delivery of compliance and privacy requirements for the leadership team
  • Develop a dashboard or tool to be presented to the Leadership team on status of project as well as ongoing compliance
  • Responsible for the Ethical Walls, including an annual review of various systems and access
  • Create standard templates / structure for Working Instructions, User Guides and work with Business Units to ensure that as documents require updating that the new process is being utilized
  • Participate in the review of documents and processes in preparation for a scheduled audit, providing support to the program team and Quality department
  • Assist the Quality department / Program in audit findings and follow-up on action items
  • Business Unit Lead on Record Inventory Management (RIM) program including onsite and offsite storage
  • Manage activities in specific projects as assigned
  • Section B General Responsibilities

  • Ability to prioritize and reprioritize work in a constantly changing environment
  • Participate and assist in departmental continuous improvement activities related to process, quality, and training
  • Section C Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-4 years in operations or process improvements experience an asset
  • College Diploma or University degree required
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines an asset
  • Experience in compliance or quality management processes
  • Experience in the Specialty Health Business and / or Project Management would be an asset
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects / tasks
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to achieve high levels of service excellence and ability to work independently or within a team
  • Ability to travel within the GTA
  • Career Level - IC - Professional - P2
