Job Description

How You Will Contribute

The Disaster Recovery Governance Team within Enterprise Protect, Technology Risk Management and Information Security (TRMIS), is responsible for ownership, management and oversight of the TD Bank Enterprise Disaster Recovery Governance Program.

This includes documentation and publication of the TD Bank Disaster Recovery Standard and Process, maturing the process through definition of the DR Strategy including ownership of the related committees (e.

g. Steering Committee), and publication of the related reporting which includes compliance reporting, Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reporting and the quarterly TD Bank Disaster Recovery State of Health.

Some of the key responsibilities include :

  • Develop monthly DR reports
  • Assess DR plan for adequacy Ensure DR plans undergo regular reviews for consistency and adherence to TRMIS-DR requirements
  • Assess DR Solution for risks
  • Ensure DR tests undergo regular reviews for consistency and adherence to TRMIS-DR requirements
  • Ensure DR tools meet process requirements for governance of DR at TDBG
  • Ensure External Service Provider Relationships meet TD’s DR requirements
  • The Business Liaison role within the TRMIS is responsible for second level governance Business Continuity for all the TD Bank Technology Organizations.

    This includes working with the Business Continuity Plan owners to assist in ensuring compliancy, quality review of Technology BCM plans, and ownership of the Technology Operational Risk Forum (Business Impact Analysis (BIA) Independent Validation Review).

  • Some of the key responsibilities include;
  • Monitor and notify businesses of upcoming plan and test maintenance requirements
  • Perform Quality Assurance of the Business Continuity Plans (including recovery strategy and workarounds) and Tests competed by 1A through assessing the viability, quality and appropriateness of the individual EP BCCM Plans and Tests
  • What You Bring to TD

  • Completing an undergraduate degree and majoring in a technology-related program, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business Technology Management, Information Technology Management, Financial Analysis and Risk Management, or Technology Sciences
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Application development exposure SLDC processes
  • Strong technical skills related to hardware and software and networking
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and thrives working with others
  • Self-driven, organized and able to prioritize work, recognizing when it’s important to seek help when faced with competing tasks and adapt quickly to feedback
  • Excellent documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with technical documentation e.g. risk reviews, audit briefs
  • Skills that are not required, but would be an asset (specific technical, and other skills) Knowledge of Security Architecture methodologies (SABSA, TOGAF)Practical experience writing technical documentationMacros and scripting skills Know the concepts of Windows and Unix / Linux user administrationFamiliarity with MS Visio or other Architecture modeling tools
  • Development experience or working knowledge with one or more of the following languages : .Net, C#, Java, PHP, Objective-C, SQL, SOAP, REST, custom API is a plus for individuals applying for this role
