In this role, you’ll be required to possess knowledge of payments processing as well as technical skills, excellent communication, team work and the highest levels of integrity.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Perform the daily execution of Earthport client payments and receivables, including Faster Payments, International Payments / SWIFT, ACH domestic payments, and global real time payment schemes
Perform the daily execution of exception handling such as rejections, returns and client funding
Correspond and liaise with Network Partners through email, telephone, and the SWIFT network to resolve queries as necessary
Gain an in-depth understanding of the Earthport payments platform and its global network of Payment Partners
Show ownership and accountability for offering solutions that help and benefit our customers
Actively seek to improve processes and workflows
Support the identification, management and resolution of service affecting incidents
Prioritize workflow to ensure all cut-off times are strictly achieved
Communicate and collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure payments are processed within cut-off times
Cooperate and provide support to the Reconciliations team to ensure all debit or credit abnormalities are investigated and addressed in a timely and efficient fashion
Cooperate and collaborate with Treasury to support the daily liquidity management process
Junior to mid level Payments or Back Office experience
Knowledge of domestic and international payments guidelines, scheme rules and regulatory framework
Working knowledge of AML procedures
Understanding of reconciliation processes and statement reporting
Able to communicate and present information effectively to colleagues and management
Proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio desired
Focussed on sharing, participating, and contributing to the whole teams’ efforts
