Our client, a longstanding and stable Tier One automotive manufacturer, requires a Manufacturing Quality Engineer with sound knowledge of metalworking, metalforming or stamping processes.
The successful Quality Engineer who lands this role will oversee and participate in the investigation of defective parts production, defective part outflow, analysis of applicable factors and the identification and application of process countermeasures.
Key responsibilities include :
Being able to make decisions very quickly by using analytics and risk management methodologies.
Ensure metalforming processes are performed according to approved Control Plans and QMS standards.
Participate in product launch core teams as applicable.
Participate in drawing review meetings.
Participate in Quality Committee meetings.
Key Qualifications :
Completion of university or college education in related field.
Knowledge of stamping, metalforming, or metalworking preferred.
Well versed in using a variety of testing equipment.
Understanding of ISO / TS 16949, SPC, Quality problem solving tools, and APQP would be an asset.
Computer knowledge and experience.
