What success looks like in this role :

Essential Experience :

Working in a software development team in a commercial environment on financial software for UK Financial Institutions. The candidate may be part of a team of developers or working independently to build software to a technical specification.

The roles will involve liaising with colleagues at all levels including System Designers, System Testers and subject matter experts.

The role may include some testing or robotics and automation.

The candidate will develop a range of technical and professional skills and will include some of the following :

  • Robotics & Automation
  • DevOps
  • Software Development Methodologies such as Agile and iterative development
  • Software Deployment, Configuration and Support
  • Test automation
  • Software development skills such as : .net; SQL; Agile Business Suite
  • ITIL Service Management elements such as Incident, problem and change management
  • Business Analysis Skills
  • SEI CMMI and ISO90000-1 compliant development processes
  • Service Delivery Metrics
  • Collaboration, presentation, communication and problem solving skills
  • You will be successful in this role if you have :

    Preferred Skills :

  • Self-motivated and have a practical attitude with a desire and aptitude to pick up and develop new skills
  • Good communication skills and value the importance of teamwork
  • Good customer / telephone manner as will be expected talk to senior internal stakeholders and clients
  • Problem solving / logical skills
