This role is for individuals who are passionate about the food retail industry and known for their attention to details. The merchandise receiving coordinator plans, organizes, and performs any task related to merchandise receiving.
He or she coordinates receiving operations distributes products per department. In addition, he or she checks invoices for information accuracy, consistency, and conformity.
Plan and manage merchandises receiving operations
Distribute merchandise in appropriate departments
Make sure merchandise is appropriately stored
Receive merchandise, check delivery slips against merchandise received and check invoice accuracy (address, products received vs. products ordered)
Check merchandise quality and quantity upon receiving
Report merchandise and invoice discrepancies and nonconformity
Follow personal safety and food safety standards
Stay alert in order to limit merchandise breakage and loss
Manage loss prevention (waste, theft, inventory loss, breakage)
Keep back store clean and organized
Provide good service to internal customers and suppliers
Perform any other task required by supervisor
Two years of experience in the field
Good knowledge of French (Bilingualism will be an asset)
Available for flexible hours (Including weekends)
Sense of organization and priority management
Teamwork and customer service
Ability to work quickly and under pressure
Ability to lift loads (40 lbs) and work in a cold environment
