The successful candidate will be required to teach once a week for 3 hours. The dual credit starts the week of September 16th and runs until the week of December 16, 2019.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant educational credentials and a proven track record of relevant work / teaching experience.
Plumbing careers can encompass work from the installation, repair and maintenance of pipes and fixtures to the complex installation of plumbing systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
This course provides the students with an introduction to piping systems, joining methods and practices commonly used in the plumbing industry and how they relate to the Ontario Building Code.
Students will be introduced to piping projects with real world applications.
The dual credit program allows students to participate in post-secondary courses and apprenticeship training, earning dual credits that count towards both their high school diploma and their post-
secondary diploma, degree or apprenticeship certification. Dual credits engage students through exposure to college courses and culture while supporting their successful transition to post-
secondary education. Presently, over 2,000 area high school students are taking a dual credit program with Durham College.
