The Role : Xylem seeks to hire a Sales Representative who will market and promote Flygt and other Xylem products to existing and new customers in the Municipal, Construction and Industrial Markets.
The sales representative will be working with consulting engineers, contractors, end users and Xylem business partners in Edmonton.
Essential Duties / Principal Responsibilities :
Meet sales budget and profit targets
Manage and develop assigned sales territory
On-going analysis of competition and appropriate adjustment of plans
Negotiate closing of contracts by identifying mutual benefit and supplying timely data to legitimize own position
Provide post-sales support
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external personnel
Grow and maintain an effective sales pipeline utilizing SalesForce.com
Minimum Qualifications : Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License / Certification :
3 years of successful experience in a similar technical sales environment
Ability to work in a computerized environment is a definite asset as is pump experience
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the sales territory is required
Technical graduate P. Eng., P.Tech or CET accreditation is an advantage
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Effective written and oral presentation skills
Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
