Senior Software Engineer (Progess)

Technical Skills :

  • 5+ years of Progress OpenEdge ABL experience (database, development and design)
  • Experience with source code management systems (e.g. Git, SVN)
  • Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
  • Adheres to software development standards, processes and best practice
  • Beneficial :

  • Experience / understanding of the Mutual Fund business
  • Unit Test frameworks
  • API development
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience in Web Services, App Server and Web technologies like Java, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, JBoss, etc
  • Experience with other programming languages (C++ preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration and DevOps principles, Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Demonstrated Capabilities :

  • Good verbal and written communication (English)
  • Takes accountability and ownership of deliverables
  • Effective problem solving
  • Ability to foster an environment that encourages team work and collaboration
