As a member of this team, you will be responsible for :

  • Supporting the HR Relationship Manager by planning and implementing customized HR solutions to meet business objectives
  • Providing direct business partner HR support and advice on a wide range of HR functions including interpretation of employment legislation and corporate policies, performance management, employee relations, career development, coaching, discipline, reward & recognition and exit strategies
  • Coordinating and conducting termination processes and employee exit interviews
  • Working with the HR team to coordinate employee STD, LTD and other leaves
  • Focusing on team objectives and deliverables as outlined in the HR Strategic Priorities
  • Initiating HR process improvements, process mapping / documentation practices, standards and procedures
  • Participating in cross-function projects as required
  • Conducting program implementation (training and presentations) on various HR topics.
  • Preparing ad hoc reports as needed
  • Assisting in special projects or assignments as required
  • To succeed in this role, you have :

  • 5-7 years progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines (e.g. employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruitment, training & development, organization development, etc.)
  • Experience in the investment industry with direct recruitment experience.
  • Completed post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
  • Professional HR designation is an asset.
  • Ability to translate business needs into HR plans and programs that support the achievement of client goals and objectives.
  • Proven experience interpreting and advising on policies and practices related to employment legislation, employee relations, performance management, compensation, change management.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid leadership, coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written, presentation preparation and delivery)
  • Excellent time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency.
  • Organizational agility, with a high level of comfort in dealing with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain high level of confidence and integrity at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills including experience working with HRIS and MS Office
