POSITIONSUMMARY :

A leader inpolytechnic education, Humber invites talented, committed individualsinterested in teaching on a part-time basis to take the first step in joiningour dynamic faculty team for January 2020.

We are accepting applicationsfor part-time Professor in the Continuing Education Web Design andDevelopment program.

Theincumbent will be responsible for teaching courses within the Web Design and Development Program.Candidates will be responsible for creating an effective adult learningenvironment, facilitating learning and classroom interaction, assessing studentprogress, providing student feedback, and participating in the curriculumdevelopment process using a collaborative model of engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Thesuccessful candidate must hold credentials at the post-secondary level with aminimum of 5 years of work experience in Web Design and Development.

  • Thesuccessful candidate must also have experience teaching adults in a communitycollege and / or university setting where they have had the opportunity todevelop their teaching practice, understand the learning process;
  • anddemonstrate their dedication to student success. Due to the nature of thisrole, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent creativity, teamwork,interpersonal and communication skills, and evaluation abilities.

    Experienceteaching with e-learning (development and implementation) is an asset.

    Specificskills required : Javascript ES6 to ES9, Relational Database experience, NodeJSand Express.
