Function Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders of patients.

He / She is committed to living to Mission and Values of Bruyère Continuing Care.

He / She is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent as recognized by the College
  • Member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Experience with assessment, interventions and treatment plans for persons with dysphagia and neurogenic communication disorder
  • Knowledge and experience with Augmentative / Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Ability to work independently and with members of an interdisciplinary team
