  • You are accountable for identifying, prioritizing all risk influence all stakeholders to treat prudent and imprudent risk optimally to protect the Operations Technology Risk;
  • meeting BMO objectives and Customer expectations. An Operations Technology Risk Officer is responsible for applying Operations Technology Risk knowledge and expertise to protect Digital Assets.

  • Know the Operations Technology landscape capabilities at any given time that is owned and implemented to support back office, middle office and front office activities.
  • Sound understanding of mainframe, network, and infrastructures that would support back office, middle office and front office activities
  • Understand the compliance expectations for Information Risk, Technology Risk, Fraud Risk, Security Risk and Data Risk
  • Establish and maintain executive relationship, build trust and rapport, and establish credibility
  • Identify and prioritize all control gaps; extract risk(s) based on Information Risk, Technology Risk, Fraud Risk, Security Risk and Data Risk
  • Quantify / qualify risk(s) identified treatment options and influence executives to take prudent risk and treat imprudent risk optimally
  • Establish real-time reporting to all stakeholders of risk and treatment options
  • Identify different mechanisms and methods for predictively identifying technology and resiliency risk
  • Build use cases to determine control to determine technology and resiliency risk, identify determine control gaps, and determine how gaps can lead to technology & resiliency risk
  • Use of internal & external data to provide insights, develop analytical strategies, and provide analytical support regarding a wide array of business initiatives
  • Identify gaps in compliance to technology assets, network, digital, channel and infrastructure & BCP standards and policies, for both internal / external technology solutions as well as solutions provided by third-party service providers
  • Improve our baseline on information protection, resiliency and controls of technology processes and services
  • Provide concise verbal and written recommendations and guidance to technology and business
