Reporting to the National Manager, Parts Operations, the Specialist, Parts Pricing will be responsible for reviewing and adjusting parts pricing so that parts sales revenue and profit opportunities are optimized.
This position will include reviewing a variety of Parts systems reports, competitor price surveys, industry data and gathering dealer feedback on parts pricing issues.
Analyze categories of parts to develop and implement competitive and profitable pricing strategies by utilizing various reports, studying other market resources and by conducting market analysis
Communicate with vendors to negotiate parts pricing and optimize profits and volumes by obtaining competitive pricing
Identify areas of opportunity for further growth
Work with vendors to provide competitively priced and high-quality products to customers
Work with National Manager, Parts Operations to identify sales opportunities and prepare communications to further promote parts to Dealers
Review daily findings and determine which products require pricing action
Review daily reports, including daily gross margin report, to identify and correct areas of concern
Perform system maintenance and ensure Oracle system has correct supersession, product and vendor information
Respond to Dealer and Regional staff inquiries and concerns voiced through the Parts Ticket Program or direct communication
Prepare and transmit price files for DMS providers by e-mail or uploading files to FTP sites
Communicate periodically with associates in Parts Operations in the US, Japan and Europe
Degree / diploma in business, economics or commerce preferred
2-3 years relevant experience
Strong analytical skills including ability to calculate margins, discounts, profits and percentages
Experience defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions
Proven ability to organize, prioritize, manage and complete assigned tasks in accordance with established standards and deadlines
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (oral and written) with staff, management, dealers and vendors
Self-motivated, easily adaptive to change in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office with superior Microsoft Excel skills
