Career Opportunity : Program Manager, Rewards

Shaw Communications is currently seeking a Program Manager, Rewards to join their team. This position reports directly into Director, Total Rewards.

The Total Rewards team is accountable to develop and lead the rewards strategy ensuring the designs are competitive, progressive and aligned with Shaw’s values and culture.

The Program Manager, Rewards ensures on-going effectiveness of rewards programs and continuous improvement and measurement while serving as a trusted advisor on rewards matters, working in partnership with key stakeholders across the organization to drive desired business results.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

  • Implements Shaw’s compensation strategy so that outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with Shaw’s desired internal and external market position.
  • Programs will include job evaluation, base salary administration, and short incentive plans

  • Develop consulting / advisory partnership with HR Business Partners and / or senior leaders that allows for effective assessment, development and implementation of compensation programs
  • Develop, maintain and continually expand a good working knowledge of the business strategy in combination with general industry knowledge and market business trends in order to provide effective consultation to various business groups as it relates to compensation related issues and develop solutions that focus on business outcomes
  • Collaborates with appropriate internal and external resources to ensure all programs, plan documentation and communications comply with regulatory, tax, legal and operational frameworks
  • Analyze and evaluate external market (salary surveys) and internal data to understand and determine the compensation impacts to current and projected employee population to develop salary budgets and forecasts
  • Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications :

  • Proven ability to articulate a vision and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to manage and drive multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Solid business acumen and the ability to bring Shaw’s compensation strategy to life operationally
  • Is a self starter, pragmatic and driven with a minimum 5 years’ experience leading compensation function
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to change
