About the role
The senior technical backup advisor is responsible for supporting the various infrastructure teams as well as safeguarding the backup data.
He / she must be a major player in innovation and be involved in complex strategic mandates involving several technologies.
The candidate should be creative, autonomous, demonstrate natural leadership skills and have excellent communication skills.
Main responsibilities :
Monitor the Backup environment
Analyze problems, manage incidents and respond to requests according to SLAs
Set up, configure and maintain the various backup systems
Be proactive in reviewing, developing and implementing processes and procedures
Act as a point of contact and guide users their the backup systems
Collaborate with other team members on projects
Help develop automation to improve operations
Carry out team change requests (RFCs) ensuring it does not impact and
aligns with daily tasks
Actively participate in disaster recovery exercises and recommend any required improvements to maximize the effectiveness of the exercise
On call outside working hours (on rotation)
Ability to works in an autonomous and fast-paced environment
Communicates effectively in person and in writing.
Recognizes and adapts to frequent changes in priority and direction to keep pace with changing business needs.
Information technology training or equivalent experience
Experience with the administration of a backup infrastructure (TSM and Rubrik in priority)
Experience with Linux and Windows environments
Experience with virtualization, storage, monitoring, security or automation is an asset
Experience working in large and complex IT environments
Comfortable in a very dynamic team structure with fluid governance
Enthusiastic towards new technologies
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Ability to solve problems and think outside the box
Excellent communication skills
French / English spoken and written
