Job Description :

    As the Manager, Client Integrations with Client Data Solutions, you will

  • About Client Data Solutions :

    Client Data Solutions (CDSS) is a centre of excellence for plan member data for our Group Benefits (GB) and Group Retirement Services (GRS) clients.

    We specialize in :

  • Inbound bulk data files and automated feeds from our customers into Sun Life (e.g. demographic data loads, asset transfer-in files, GB HRIS feeds, GRS enrolment and contribution feeds, etc.)
  • Outbound data files from Sun Life to our customers (e.g. payroll deduction files, custom reports, etc.).
  • The team is currently growing our scope of services, building new partnerships with internal teams and increasing our client-facing capabilities.

    Leadership

  • Oversee a national team of data professionals
  • Create an environment that promotes team member accountability and autonomy
  • Provide direction and coaching to team members and ensure business and career goals are achieved
  • Set objectives for service and quality levels; empower the team to achieve results
  • Service excellence & efficiency

  • Lead continuous process improvements to optimize efficiencies and improve customer service
  • Collaborate quickly with internal partners to resolve client escalations
  • Negotiate and work with representatives in GB and GRS Business Development and other managers in Group Operations division to create positive client-focused solutions
  • Connect directly with external clients to provide solutions and manage expectations
  • Strategy

  • Work with the Director, CDSS to influence and execute on the strategic direction
  • Ensure shareholder value along with focusing on clients, advisors and employees
  • Manage or participate in different projects as they arise
  • What will you need to succeed?

  • University or College degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Strong knowledge of group benefits and / or group retirement services
  • Strong operations management experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work and demonstrate cooperation in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and / or XML
  • Keen business sense / knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Assets :

  • Bilingual, with verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • Special notes :

  • Regular travel between Waterloo / Montreal
  • May be required to attend external client meetings or presentations for prospective business
  • The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.

    In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.

    Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
