We’re looking for a Claims Representative, Intact Prestige to join our growing team!

As a Claims Representative, Intact Prestige your work will have a big impact on the investigation and handling of property damage and automobile claims for high profile customers.

You will obtain details to determine the circumstances and causes of the loss; transcribe and check the statements and calculate the total loss or damage covered by the policy, to negotiate a fair settlement of the claim.

Here are a few ways you'll make a difference :

  • Investigate relatively complex personal lines property and automobile claims in a timely and respectful manner through communication with customers, contractor, consultants, brokers and any other related parties
  • Analyze the client's insurance coverage and explain clearly what their protections are in relation to the claim presented
  • Collect the facts about the circumstances of the incident from policyholders, third parties and other stakeholders to determine the circumstances, causes and admissibility of claims
  • Assess the potential liability of the insured and / or third party by supporting their reasoning on relevant and well-substantiated investigation elements
  • Anticipate recoveries and direct the investigation accordingly. Identify third parties who may have potential civil liability claims against the insured
  • Actively collaborate with the various related indemnification and underwriting services, as well as external specialists
  • Communicate effectively with the client to inform him of developments
  • Annotate and document your file in accordance with the company's standards and guidelines
  • Negotiate complaints with third parties efficiently, if appropriate
  • Ensure sound management of external costs
  • Keep up to date on Intact’s Prestige products, appraisal and investigation techniques and services
  • Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process
  • Your Skills

  • University degree or college diploma preferred and / or equivalent business experience
  • Completed or working towards a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • Minimum of 3 years of claims experience in property and / or automobile damage claims for high profile customers (preferred)
  • Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrates strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed
