Job Description & Summary

A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm.

A storyteller at heart, the Editorial Manager understands what makes content compelling, valuable and shareable. You’ll work closely with our dynamic Digital and Marketing teams, developing and creating content that can be distributed through various channels from web, social, advertising and more.

As a key member of the Brand Experience team, the Editorial Manager will focus on creating content to support our marketing campaigns across priority services, lines of service and industry.

You must be an expert in business writing, with a flair for strong technical writing and content development in written, video and digital formats.

It’s also important you have experience with editing, copywriting and proofreading a variety of content types. Your exceptional stakeholder management skills will allow you to act as an advisor on suitable content, keeping in mind business and marketing objectives for campaigns.

You’ll have the creativity, attention to detail and project management skills necessary to complement a fast-moving team.

Important points to consider

  • This role is currently virtual but has the option of being based out of any PwC's Canadian offices with the ability to work Eastern hours when required.
  • What you'll create and do

    As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

    Responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to :

  • Understanding individual marketing plans, and creating suitable content, whether it’s a large publication, blog, landing page, video or any other form of content
  • Creating digital-first content tailored to specific C-suite and senior business audiences
  • Working closely with the marketing team to define the key messages, positioning and themes that support specific campaigns
  • Managing relationships with marketing teams, partners and other internal leaders, effectively balancing different viewpoints, priorities and expectations
  • Overseeing work from an external pool of writers if the campaigns require it
  • Reviewing content to make sure it is error-free and adheres to our brand style
  • Working with our Digital and Social Media teams to increase organic traffic through SEO techniques and analyze the performance of campaigns and individual pieces of content
  • What you'll bring to the role

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
  • Proven experience in creating engaging editorial content, including significant experience with digital content, thought leadership reports and ad copy
  • Exceptional writing skills that reflect an ability to incorporate key messages for a sophisticated business audience
  • Previous demonstrated experience managing complex clients and marketing campaigns is desired
  • Excellent search engine optimization (SEO) skills is an asset, as is a knowledge of data analytics techniques to analyze and improve content performance
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills are a must
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities, and should be able to work with and influence senior leaders
  • Detail-oriented self-starter who can work well within a large and complex team, and excel in a fast-paced, corporate environment, while still effectively managing multiple priorities to deadline
