On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Business Process Analyst for a 10 month contract in Calgary, AB.
Business Process Analyst Job Details
This role will provide business analysis services and Project development and delivery support.
It will do this analysis for the network and SCADA Infrastructure operational team performing analysis on the Operation.
It will also provide traditional IT Business analysis for projects and software development improvement initiatives.
As a key member of our Digital transformation, the BA will help build our analysis practices embedding them into all aspects of our team as we harness our operational data.
As such, we intend to have a sustained ability this practice and so, increased hiring attention will be given to applicants which would consider becoming a core employee after a trial period as a contractor.
Business Process Analyst Responsibilities
Involved in highly complex matters and business systems processes that have impact for the organization and that involve Senior Management strategic decisions.
May oversee a variety of projects at a time.
Conducts / facilitates user requirements / user story / backlog development sessions; documents assumptions and constraints
Reviews and approves business process models and system data flow maps
Leads definition of requirements with project teams and business users, translating business needs into documented requirements and use cases that can be used by developers to create software, by application specialists to configure software, or by infrastructure specialists to develop technical solutions.
Validates and approves requirements with project teams and business users, translating business needs into documented requirements and use cases to create and configure software by application specialist, or by infrastructure specialists to develop technical solutions.
Leads the business in prioritizing and re-prioritizing requirements
Builds and maintains relationships with the project business stakeholders and team members
Tracks requirements and deliverables to ensure that business requirements are being met
Confirms business requirements that may change due to development or technical decisions or as a result of scope changes or technical changes from vendor.
Works shoulder to shoulder with OCM staff to ensure operational procedural changes or changes delivered to business have their desired benefit and eliminated / managed impact.
Business Process Analyst Must Have Skills
6 years experience with the following :
Network Core, NOC Field and SCADA Infrastructure staff and our tools to identify opportunities, root cause, document processes and drive operational improvements.
Define and track (if possible automate) creation of departmental KPA’s, dashboards, score cards and build and maintain departmental reporting.
Work with Business, senior technical staff, and management to define, build proceduralize and deliver a risk management capability to the department.
Use our Network, SCADA operational tools, PowerBI, MS Access, Sharepoint and other recommended tools to assemble analysis and statistics reports and simple databases that help guide or support operational directions or help support or justify projects or business Cases.
The team will support BA in learning important information about our networks and network tools however it is expected that candidates are experts Analysts and experts with MS Excel.
Business Process Analyst Nice to Have Skills
It is expected that the BA have an interest in learning about the technical nature of the network over time; network knowledge or engineering background would be an asset.
