  • Key Accountabilities :

  • Manages members’ commercial lending or real estate portfolios.
  • Supports the established annual business plan for the department.
  • Analyzes, negotiates, and structures commercial mortgage loans in compliance with guidelines.
  • Manages credit applications and approves commercial mortgage loans within assigned limits.
  • Accountable for attaining all sales and growth targets to the assigned portfolio.
  • Adheres to business policies and procedures and ensure compliance to all risk management and best practice standards to mitigate risk.
  • Conducts annual reviews on commercial real estate accounts within the assigned portfolio to ensure all terms and conditions of credit are being met.
  • Prepares reports on the status and performance of assigned portfolios.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental initiatives / programs.
  • E xperience and / or Educational Requirements :

  • 6 - 8 years’ experience in commercial mortgage lending and / or banking.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a managing real estate accounts.
  • Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Skills and Competencies :

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other programs.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Superior critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
  • In depth knowledge of financial institutions and the terminology used.
  • Remain current on emerging trends within field of expertise and incorporate them.
  • Strong business development skills.
