Key Accountabilities :
Manages members’ commercial lending or real estate portfolios.
Supports the established annual business plan for the department.
Analyzes, negotiates, and structures commercial mortgage loans in compliance with guidelines.
Manages credit applications and approves commercial mortgage loans within assigned limits.
Accountable for attaining all sales and growth targets to the assigned portfolio.
Adheres to business policies and procedures and ensure compliance to all risk management and best practice standards to mitigate risk.
Conducts annual reviews on commercial real estate accounts within the assigned portfolio to ensure all terms and conditions of credit are being met.
Prepares reports on the status and performance of assigned portfolios.
Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental initiatives / programs.
E xperience and / or Educational Requirements :
6 - 8 years’ experience in commercial mortgage lending and / or banking.
3 - 5 years’ experience in a managing real estate accounts.
Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Skills and Competencies :
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other programs.
Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Superior critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
In depth knowledge of financial institutions and the terminology used.
Remain current on emerging trends within field of expertise and incorporate them.
Strong business development skills.
