Working in the ProFin Hub within the Global Specialty Lines (GSL) division in Canada, situated in downtown Toronto, you will devote your technical skills, business savvy and track record of success to underwriting, marketing and promoting our GSL Risk Managed property product offerings.

What you will achieve in this role
Positively contribute to the delivery of all financial targets for the Errors & Omissions Insurance
Execution of regional growth and profitability plan, including rate and pricing strategies
RSA Errors & Omissions the market of choice for key strategic brokers
Negotiate pricing and terms on our program business, as well as mutually acceptable solutions to underwriting proposals.
Provide excellent service to and effectively communicate with our E&O brokers and clients.
Underwrite new and renewal business by analyzing and assessing pertinent information.
Develop strong relationships with brokers and clients to encourage the growth and retention of our book of business.
Pulse on market trends, conditions and product opportunities.
Work closely with other business segment underwriters to deliver profitable growth.
Identify opportunities to improve broker and client service within the RSA Errors & Omissions line of business
Communicate RSA’s Corporate Value Proposition to brokers
Deliver exceptional service to brokers and clients including management of specialized account service plans.
Adhere to the administrative, underwriting guidelines and processes of the Specialty ProFin Team within GSL.
What you bring to this role
Minimum of 10 years relevant specialty underwriting experience is preferred
Programs experience is an asset
University degree or equivalent
CIP, RPLU and / or CRM preferred
Displays energy and enthusiasm in pursuit of their objectives and end results.
Ability to plan workload given multiple client demands.
A high level of initiative and ability to solve problems quickly.
Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Demonstration of continuous improvement
In depth knowledge and understanding of policy forms and wordings, ability to work with manuscript forms and negotiate legal and uw’g requirements with brokers.
Strong Market Presence, personal brand, and market knowledge nationally
Proven relationship management skills, both internal and external with key stakeholders
Facultative placement experience and understanding of net / gross line strategies
Polished communication skills (verbal & non-verbal)
Account View Strategy
Ability to define thought process in underwriting with concision and within uw’g framework / guidance
Strong team player both within direct team and with critical stakeholders
French or other languages are an asset
Broker and / or Risk Management experience are an asset
