Weatherford Canada Ltd. is currently seeking a Rental Technician to support our Drilling Tools division in Nisku, AB.

As a Rental Technician your main responsibilities will be answering customer calls, assembling orders, arranging transportation of equipment and providing documentation and certification for equipment.

You are responsible to adhere to safe work practices, report any unsafe working conditions and maintain close contact with your Supervisor, promptly reporting all concerns or potential problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take customers service calls. Assemble orders & complete delivery ticket
  • Arrange transportation of equipment
  • Get signatures for bill of lading, monthly billing and final billing
  • Provide documentation and certification papers on all overhead and certified equipment
  • Fill out on call log sheets and documenting all orders and attaching to delivery ticket
  • Support Billing Clerks by providing accurate information in a timely fashion
  • Assist sales team by forming good working relationship with clients
  • Participate in weekly operation meetings and monthly safety meeting
  • Sourcing out 3rd party rental equipment
  • Participate in cross training of other product lines when requested
  • On call with evening and weekend work

  • 1-2 years of oilfield experience
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Mechanically inclined, self-starter working with limited supervision
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and interact responsibly with co-workers at all times
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
