Reporting to the Team Lead, Measurement, this role is responsible for providing and maintaining data requirements used for production accounting, ensuring all applicable measurement information is accurate, current and following the standards and practices of AltaGas corporate measurement mandates, in conjunction with government compliance requirements.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following :

Create / maintain / update all data managed in PGAS (meter data changes, analysis, calibration, volume records, links to 3rd party etc.

in a timely and accurate fashion for assigned properties.

Identify changes / updates / corrections / additions with PGAS meter numbers on Measurement Schematics.

Provide notifications on delinquent samples and calibrations for applicable accounting and operational meters to ensure compliance with AltaGas’ measurement policies.

Escalate to applicable groups (OA’s, engineers, external customers) as required.

Daily Flash Reporting / Monthly Flash evaluate data, responding to inquiries, update the balancing groups (when required).

  • Ensure monthly reconciliation comparison between Flash and Operations Accounting throughput are within acceptable tolerances;
  • update shrink and estimated volumes as necessary.

    Act as Zedi Access Administrator handle user requests, organize / maintain well tree, update calibration dates, provide training to new users (as required), validate commissioned / decomissioned meters.

    Identify and escalate EFM communication / EFMalarming issues.

    Act as main contact for lab (AGAT, Maxxam) issues, maintain / update the cross reference, investigate / resolve import exceptions, and identify any issues with turnaround time.

    Validate and review sample compositions escalate to applicable internal / external parties when required.

    Perform system testing / projects / facility measurement reviews as required. Cross-train team members on system enhancements, updates, changes and amendments to existing or new processes.

    Conduct EPAP testing and reporting. Organizing, evaluating and reporting test results to AER. Identify findings to company / process narrative owners.

    Validate and review calibration reports ensuring accuracy and completeness. Escalate items back to field / calibration designates as required.

    Other projects as assigned.

    Qualifications :

  • 2-4 years of gas industry knowledge / experience in relation to production accounting and / or measurement.
  • 1-3 years of experience using an accounting application or field data capture system (i.e. PGAS / TIPS etc)
  • Experience using Zedi Access is considered an major asset
  • Knowledge / understanding government oil and gas regulations (Alberta (AER), Saskatchewan, British Columbia (OGC) etc.
  • Knowledge of different meters is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of EPAP is considered an asset
  • Knowledge / understanding of measurement schematics is considered an asset.
