Global Technology Services (GTS) is accountable for the support of multiple business line from trading, surveillance and clearing solution and, as a shared service organization for TMX, it also provides services that support TMX businesses in meeting their objectives.
In this regard, GTS provides the Firm's Technology, Information Security, Enterprise Risk Management, Integrated Operations, Project Management, Vendor management and Innovation services.
The Analyst, Software Solutions designs software and conducts functional and organic analyses of new systems or to modify an existing system, according to user specifications.
The Analyst will evolve in a very challenging environment where transactions lifecycle are measured in microseconds and where system high availability is key to ensure stability in our Canadian financial ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities :
Identifies the different options in term of solution
Creates the organic architecture of systems to be developed and draws up specifications
Defines and assesses the implementation strategy of the software solution
Determines hardware specification and requirements for all environments
Assists programmer-analysts with software development
Supports the quality assurance team with the design of test strategies
Assists project leaders with the planning
Carries out any other related task assigned by his immediate superior
Skills and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer / software engineering
Min. 5 years’ experience in software development
Min. 1 year in application design
Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Experience with multi-task and distributed systems
Experience in Client / Server environment
Min.1 year of programming experience in C++ programming language
Knowledge or experience with Java Script programming language
Both logical thinking and problem solving / creative skills
Ability to work through ambiguity
Strong Communication skills (verbal, written, diagramming)
Strong Collaboration skills, work effectively as a team as well as autonomously as required
Willingness to work project / support hours
Ability and flexibility to work under a variety of situations and deadlines
Keeps abreast of new developments in his / her field of expertise
Bilingual, French and English (spoken and written)
