Job Description
The New York Times Editing Center, a fast-paced 40-person editing and production operation in Gainesville, Florida, seeks a slot-level editor with leadership experience to direct the New York Times News Service.
Ideal candidates will bring several years of managing people and offer Times-level editing, slotting and production skills.
and partnering with the managing editor on scheduling and personnel evaluations. Strong communication skills are a must, as is a meticulous attention to detail.
Taking the tasks seriously without taking yourself too seriously would separate the top contenders for a position with high expectations and responsibility.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field is required.
