Middle Office Specialist.
Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Operations function.
Focal contact point for all Middle office functions relating to the Equity and CFD books held open :
daily communication with traders and TAs identifying real / potential problems,
externally : with multiple Prime Brokers and Administrators.
Primary support contact for US, International and Fixed Income Prime Brokerage to assist with internal and client queries / issues.
Duties included :
Daily and intraday reconciliation of trade population to counterparties, multiple Prime Brokers and clearers, investigations, trade settlement, client reporting, corporate action, weekly dividend reporting, margin analysis and all aspects of client services,
Running daily F+O positions.
Affirming trades within DTCC.
Assisting in ad-hoc projects and new system implementation
Processed daily trade files, and ensured all US; International and Fixed Income trades were booked across the FO, MO, and BO systems.
Ensured trades with accrued interest are booked properly with correct variable rates and International trades accruing interest had the correct FX rate.
Responsible for processing LEAPS Option changes and well as the Monthly Options Expiration process.
Responsible for booking all U.S. Corporate Actions including Splits, Dividends, Reverse Splits, Payouts, Spin-Offs, Cash and Stock Mergers, Tenders, Full and Partial Redemptions / Calls, Liquidations, Distributions, Pay in Kinds, and Symbol, Ticker, and ID Changes.
Responsible for file testing and on-boarding new clients, including contact with the client and their administrator.
Reviewed trade workflow and trade support processes in order to improve procedures and functionality.
Ensured that the factors and the principal pay downs were calculated correctly for Sinking Bonds, Asset Backed Bonds, and Mortgage Backed Bonds.
Responsible for ensuring the timely start of the daily End of Day process for Prime Brokerage clients in the US and UK region.
Assist CSR is with any trade related queries and liaise with IT when necessary.
Work with CSR has to assess ongoing client issues and work to increase the STP rate through IT enhancements.
Worked with Cash Management and Margin departments to process payments and monitor incoming funds for sensitive clients.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills. Coding experience is a plus.
