We are looking for a candidate with the following :

  • University degree in library science or the equivalent. A Masters in Library Science (MLS) is considered a very strong asset.
  • Two years of comparable and relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Able to rapidly and accurately summarize / describe audio / video materials.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with the Google Office suite, including Docs, Sheets, etc.
  • Knowledge of recent Canadian history, current events, and personalities in the province.
  • Knowledge of or experience cataloging digital collections.
  • Experience creating archive descriptions or original document cataloguing projects.
  • Technical knowledge of recording media.
  • Knowledge of CBC / Radio-Canada programming policies and journalistic standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of CBC / Radio-Canada programming.
  • Good working knowledge of Radiola, Prolog, TVNLS, Avid Interplay, Macro development and MAM.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to be focused on tasks at hand.
  • Proven ability to work without supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work in a tight-deadline environment.
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient.
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
