Oversee all operations in the assigned portfolios, as well as management of associated staff, which includes several property managers as well as their support staff.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and ensure the successful delivery of all Property Management services to the assigned client(s). Ensure assets are managed to meet performance objectives set by client(s);
demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of asset management and property management services in accordance with the approved business plans and within operating / capital budgets.
Monitor and analyze financial reporting to the clients, including monthly reporting, annual and semi-annual budget processes, considering the performance objectives set by the clients.
Cultivate constant communication with the clients to remain fully aware of their needs and requirements.
Provide advice and recommendations in the development of property management strategies / initiatives, profitability and company’s market share
Motivate, coach and mentor team members on a daily basis supporting them in their roles of delivering services throughout the client portfolio;
initiating performance management strategies if and when required; development and implementation of best practice(s)
Verify adherence by property management team to all established operational procedures.
Maintain communication with the leasing department to assist in the new lease and renewal process.
Manage all other projects or requirements of owners as may arise.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Post-secondary degree in real estate, management, commerce, or related field is an asset.
Proven leadership with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to partner with clients, tenants and the community.
Strong accounting background; ability to read and interpret financial statements.
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within strict deadlines.
Detail oriented; able to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning.
Self-motivated, professional and flexible; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Motivational, and able to motivate, empower and coach / counsel staff in the achievement of performance goals.
Professional and friendly demeanor, comfortable working in a high pressure environment.
Proven innovation with a willingness to manage and adapt to change.
Proven ability to implement policies, procedures and programs.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
Computer literate in Excel and Word. JD Edwards considered an asset.
Licenses and / or Professional Accreditation
Real Estate License in Province where living; RPA; CPM
