We are looking for a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to build these foundations. The foundations reduce total cost of ownership across Amazon by delivering undifferentiated capabilities that can be relied on and shopping experience owners can focus on delighting the customers for the specific use case.
They are built for decoupled experimentation across a large number of teams and users. They are massively scalable and distributed, have extremely high throughput, integrate with all areas of Amazon’s business to enable a state-of-the-art low-latency and personalized experiences across all worldwide markets, devices and categories.
In this role you will be the leader of a team that is customer obsessed, able to gather requirements from a large number of customers and stakeholders, explore existing and emerging technologies inside and outside Amazon, map out opportunities and gaps between them and build a technical vision and deliver on it.
You will build and deliver on a technical roadmap with optimal balance of flexibility, ease of use and safety of toolsets while having ability to scale to large number of internal customers.
You will hire, build and grow a team of technical leaders and engineers who deliver on these projects. You will also influence roadmaps of related technical teams to build offerings that are seamless for the customers.
You will evangelize the offerings to your customers, working to accelerate feature adoption, track adoption rates, set program success criteria, and communicate results with the senior leadership.
