Manulife is seeking an awesome Sr. Cloud and DevOps Engineer , to join our strong and passionate team of Data Engineers and assist us cloudify our infrastructure and build CICD!

As a Sr. Cloud and DevOps Engineer :

  • You will be part of an advance team that paves the path for others through MVPs and POTs
  • You will lead the design and deployment of 0-downtime, 0-data loss, 4 9s uptime infrastructure in Cloud
  • You will lead solutioning for robust deployment and operations, and layout the infrastructure architecture that meets both business needs and comply with NFRs
  • You will build CICD pipelines and common modules those form those pipelines
  • You will have the following skills and experience :

  • Expert in automating deployment pipelines from source control such as github / gitlab to cloud (e.g. MS Azure) IAAS and PAAS
  • Expert in scripting the infrastructure via code and parameterize it to spawn prod, non-prod, perf and other environments
  • Expert in Bash and / or Powershell scripting
  • Expert in one of the public clouds Azure or AWS
  • Expert in container technologies including dockers, AKS, K8s, HELM Charts and Ansible
  • Expert in integrating testing module into pipelines, collecting and publishing test results
  • Experience with orchestration technologies like Terraform and Kubeflow is a big plus
  • Experience with Jenkin, Artifactory, SonarCube will be a big plus
  • Experience with Agile scrum methodologies and experience of working in an Agile team
  • Familiarity with at least one front-end framework such as Angular, React or Vue
  • Familiarity with Azure Serverless function or AWS Lambda
  • Familiarity with database technologies in cloud such as Managed SQL, Cosmos / Mongo
  • Familiarity with R and python for Data Wrangling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytics, problem solving and solutioning skills
  • A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement
  • Exposure to and basic understanding of collaboration tools like Slack, Teams, and JIRA
