Summary of Responsibilities :
Assume the responsibilities of the General Manager inhis absence
Assistin the preparation of the annual Operations Plan and achieve the profitobjectives therein
Ensurethat monthly financial outlooks for Operating Departments including Rooms,F&B, Engineering, Security and Staff Accommodations are accurate and arebeing achieved.
Play a lead role in yield management for Rooms andFood & Beverage.
Leads all capital projects including development ofcapital plans and execution of projects
Ensures the consistent implementation and delivery ofall Fairmont Service Essentials and Standards
Handles all guest concerns and feedback to ensureeffective follow up
Ensures the smooth operation and co-ordination of thehotel through their respective Department Heads (Front Office, Housekeeping,Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Environmental Systems, and Security)
Ensureour team's commitment to Environmental Stewardship through active leadership onthe Environmental Committee, monitoring of NNNEI commitments andinteraction with Parks Canada
Assist in staff planning and the maintenance ofproductivity levels
Completes the Monthend and Forecast Commentary forCorporate Office and Owners
Provides support and assistance as required to theDirector of Talent & Culture, Director of Finance & Business support andDirector of Sales & Marketing
Withthe Director of Finance & Business support, reviews all contracts (i.e.cleaning, maintenance & repair, telephones, etc.)
Update and ensure timely awareness of the hotel’sBusiness Continuity, Emergency and Crisis Management Plans
Provide active leadership in the culture of Health andSafety and accident prevention
Function as key member of the Hotel ExecutiveCommittee and Leadership Team
Direct operational needs to ensure compliance with thehotel’s Annual Budget and 5 Year Strategic Plan
Extensive Operations management experience in F&Bor Rooms a strong asset.
Clear working knowledge of budget planning &execution
Post secondary diploma / degree in hospitality oruniversity
Proven record to coordinate multiple departments andto achieve goals
Exceptional interpersonal and guest relations skills
Proven team-leader with outstanding motivationalskills and coaching ability
Ability to motivate developing leaders to act asentrepreneurs while implementing innovative, profit driven, guest satisfactionoriented solutions
