We are looking for Audio / Video Technical Coordinator to join our team in Burnaby, BC.

The Opportunity :

The Audio / Video Technical Coordinator (officially titled as Technical Coordinator) directly supports the Online Auction Operations team.

This role is responsible for the overall maintenance, updating, and enhancing of all hardware and technology used to broadcast online auctions.

This includes audio, video and computer components. A vital part of this role is to research and develop activities to keep Ritchie Bros.

Online Bidding in the forefront of cutting-edge technology.

In this role you’ll :

  • Regularly maintaining all Online Auction Operations hardware and their environments with the latest software, firmware, and security patches.
  • Real time technical support for live simulcast auctions.
  • Support projects that pertain to Online Bidding A / V / Comm and onsite digital displays.
  • Work with the Technical Lead on all deployments as required.
  • Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety : to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
  • Here's what you bring :

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science / engineering, Audio / Video or electronics or equivalent will be an asset.
  • 5 years in Audio / Video management or support role.
  • In depth knowledge of AV components, cables, connectors and interfaces.
  • Ability to make the call on what method of communication to use for network, telecom, VOIP, & cellular.
  • Ability to solve network connectivity / telecommunications / computing / Audio / Video issues.
  • This job will require you to :

  • Ability to lift over 20 lbs, ability to be on feet all day.
  • Ability to work in loud / high stress / fast paced / real time environments.
  • Ability to work outside hot, cold, wet weather.
  • Ability to travel outside of the country will be required .
  • Passport and drivers license a must.
