The innovation team is seeking a friendly, well-articulated, proven innovator to champion new product initiatives in the emerging CBD category.
You will be accountable for identifying product development opportunities, liaising with R&D and supply chain to coordinate product manufacturing, assisting with any marketing and sales efforts to commercialize.
This person will be required to work in constant collaboration with colleagues from the marketing, sales, retail, supply chain, legal, and project management office.
The ideal candidate for this role is incredibly well spoken, informed through a wealth of experience on developing and launching highly successful innovations.
Liase between marketing & sales to champion new product initiatives through the full life cycle of development
Help guide and validate product and brand portfolio decisions, balancing objective market research with intuition and personal passion
Make compelling and well thought out business cases and presentations to help align key stakeholders on tough decisions
Stay abreast of all direct and indirect competitor activity to help shape and defend new products
Participate in relevant research projects to bring greater insight to the NHP consumer
Build strategic relationships with key industry players, agencies and vendors
Keep a pulse on market trends, consumer markets, and competitors to recognize challenges and opportunities
Other duties as assigned
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Natural Health Product, food / beverage, or related industry
Experience developing and launching new products in highly regulated markets
Strong understanding of the marketing mix, with ability to recommend effective strategies and objectives to management
Proven capability and driving results and / or organizational change through others
Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for compelling presentations
Data-driven, and comfortable with metrics and spreadsheets
Superior communication, leadership and teamworking skills
