Job Purpose :

The Flow Manager is responsible for effectively planning and scheduling the factory to optimize service to customers and performance of the factory.

Including ensuring effective sourcing of raws and packs to deliver the plan.

This role sits on the Factory Leadership Team and carries additional responsibilities for ensuring that the factory and region delivers its overall objectives.

The individual is a visible leader of the site.

The Flow Manager is responsible delivering these objectives through effective leadership, engagement, and development of their team and collaboration with others.

Building a strong team to deliver sustained performance and improvement over time.

Key Responsibilities :

ENGAGEMENT

  • Create an engaging environment where Associates feel appreciated, valued and listened to.
  • Ensure timely follow-through and follow up surrounding Associate escalations and to address any Associate relations concerns.
  • SAFETY

  • All PPE must be worn in compliance with the OHSA / RC requirements
  • Enforce / Respect the safety rules and the internal policy
  • Ensure work always occurs in a safe manager and stopping any work that deviates from this standard and correct behaviours.
  • Support & promote plant safety and health
  • ENVIRONMENT

  • Guarantee and apply required Environmental and all related working procedures
  • Ownership of environmental requirements in Flow area
  • QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY

  • Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, FSS / ISO22000, Mars Standards, and all related working procedures
  • Develop, implement and maintain the HACCP program in the department
  • Insure GMP-GHP in the area
  • Update Flowchart and Hazard Analysis
  • Member of the Food Safety team
  • Analysis of results for verification activities, internal and external audits
  • Implement, maintain oPrPs in the department
  • Train team to oPrPs
  • Manage no-conformities (decide, put on hold, isolate, destruct), analyze for root causes and undertake correctives actions
  • Manage physical recall of Quality issues products
  • Main contact plant traceability
  • PERSONNEL & ORGANIZATION

  • Build a strong team through High Performance collaboration, associate development, and performance differentiation
  • Training : attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designated person in the position.
  • Likewise accountable to ensure direct associates have necessary trainings on time.

  • Provide coaching and / or disciplinary action where it is deemed necessary
  • Prepare / Organize / Participate on plant visits
  • Attribute Bonus / Annual interview / Manage for continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and manage the training needs of the flow team
  • Execute program of personnel development and specific skills training in relation with RC P & O concepts like multi-skills program
  • Establish program & documents for training
  • Establish workforce training programs
  • Identify & report cross training needs & opportunities within the Flow department for optimizing the performances
  • Participate in the recruitment of new associates
  • LEADERSHIP TEAM & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Flow Manager is responsible for effectively planning and scheduling the factory to optimize service to customers and performance of the factory.
  • Including ensuring effective sourcing of raws and packs to deliver the plan.

  • Continuous improvement of area and site.
  • Support Shift Managers for any flow operations within budgeted costs, productivity objectives and quality standards (supplying, planning, packaging and warehousing processes)
  • Responsible for quality, food safety and janitorial activities within Flow department
  • Minimum Requirements :

  • Post-Secondary Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing and / or Factory Operations
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills (mathematical aptitude and information filtering)
  • Preferred Requirements :
